ESG Services

The scope of this project was to convert the existing facility, which processes raw natural gas and associated liquids, from turbine generated power to the permanent BC Hydro Utility power grid via 138 kV substation. The turbine generators with Waste Heat Recovery Units were removed and replaced with direct fired heat medium heaters. The plant process heat medium system was also converted from TEG to thermal oil, which required some piping and equipment modifications.

Project Outcomes

This resulted in approximately 125,000 tCO2e of emissions reduction each year, the equivalent of removing 27,000 cars per year off the road.
